World has opened up after being coveted for 2 years!
Social and Emotional needs of human civilisation is striking equally to all the diverse representatives of Human Kind. One such forum of social-emotional learning was designed and delivered by #AskInsights Team. Yes, I am talking about the most talked Global DEI Summit inIndia - #DiCE.
DiCE was rolled out to be a 3 day interactive and engaging events by the stalwarts of the Industry. Each one of us present there had one common agenda Inclusion and Equity of the marginalised groups across the segments and layers of our society.
I will begin sharing my experience talking about tow most impactful persons with whom I crossed by paths - Dr. Niru Kumar and Bibi Prakash Kaur ji. After all how often it happens with life that I would share the discussion tables with two Padmashrees!
As the introduction of DiCE says ‘unilateral’. It truly was unilateral as I see these 2 Padmashree awardee sharing the glimpses of their journeys. In my personal experience I saw these two women at the extreme end of the spectrum walking their path towards their purpose and their higher self. At one end, Bibi Prakash Kaur ji the founder of #UniqueHome truly on the path ofcomplete surrender and in the service of human race, nurturing girl children and on the other end Dr. Niru Kumar founder and CEO of #AskInsights paving way for the spirt of our race, resonating the warrior spirit of survive and thrive; breaking every stereotype not just for herself but for every individual who is limited by its gender, physical ability or social norming. I could see the analogy of ek (one) Meera and ek (one) Radha coming alive through them.
Definitely, it could be anything and everything on the spectrum that one may relate with but unilateral.
The experience of meeting the #Heroes (mind it, its not gender specific) that inspire us everyday didn’t stop with these 2 stalwarts.
Most intriguing to me was meeting Anu Singh Chaudhary the script writer of Netflix series#Aarya. Yes, I did reminisced with her the mantra she gave through that series “Panja Bahar Nikalo” (Pull your claws out) -bringing the tigress out.
It just kept growing as we listened to Smita and Sumit speaking about the mainstreaming of People with Disabilities. And the last session with Ex Air Commander Sunil Sharma from #Athieducating and on boarding us as brand ambassadors of Transgender Health Community. Insights gained would not be justified in limited words here.
Last but not the least the state of DEI in India Inc can be defined by the presence of leaders of the organisation and my key takeaways would stop with reflections at the #leadership #Intent #systemicchange #vulnerability #empathy #belongingness
